Ryan N. Vogel, M.D.
Founder of Advanced Retina and a board-certified medical and surgical retina specialist, Dr. Vogel completed fellowship training at the Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute. He brings extensive experience in retinal surgery, in-office retina procedures, and patient-centered specialty care for Southeastern Wisconsin.
Joshua S. Agranat, M.D.
Dr. Agranat is a board-certified medical and surgical retina specialist and vitreoretinal surgeon with training connected to Harvard Medical School/Mass Eye and Ear and Boston University/Boston Medical Center. He emphasizes thoughtful care, clear patient education, and coordination with referring optometrists and ophthalmologists.
Olufemi E. Adams, M.D.
Dr. Adams is a fellowship-trained vitreoretinal surgeon with training at Wills Eye Hospital and a background that includes academic honors, research, and national and international presentations. His approach combines advanced retina expertise with compassion and patient-centered communication.

How Referrals Work
A simple referral process designed for busy practices.
We know referring offices need a process that is clear, fast, and easy to use. Advanced Retina accepts referrals by phone, fax, and referral form. Please include the patient’s contact information, insurance details, reason for referral, relevant exam findings, imaging if available, and the preferred location if known.

Submit the referral form, fax records, or call our office. Include exam findings, diagnosis or suspected diagnosis, urgency level, and imaging.

Our team reviews the information, contacts the patient as needed, and schedules at the most appropriate location.

You may refer a patient by submitting our referral form, faxing records, or calling our office
directly. For urgent retina concerns, please call our office so our team can help route the patient appropriately.
Please include the patient's demographics, insurance information, reason for referral, urgency level, relevant exam findings, imaging (if available), and the patient's preferred office location.
For urgent same-day or next-day retinal concerns, please call Advanced Retina at 262-510-0300, rather than only submitting the online referral form. If the patient is experiencing a life-threatening medical emergency, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.
Yes. Communication with referring providers is an important part of our referral process. We provide clinically useful updates after evaluation, treatment planning, and ongoing care whenever appropriate.
Absolutely. We value the relationship you have established with your patient. Once specialty retinal care is complete, or when co-management is appropriate, we support a smooth transition back to the referring provider.
